I am now officially 30. I plan to spend all day in the garage with a case of beer and my tools, pretending this never happened.
At least my car is still 29 years old. Here is a picture of another 30-year-old for your time.

Yeah, just forget about it, at least for the first year, and you won’t notice a difference. After a year you might start to notice, especially around people in their 20s. But I usually catch myself thanking some god that I’m not in my 20s anymore.

I had a serious pre mid life crisis turning 30. Now I’m 33 with a grey patch of hair there’s no fooling anyone anymore.

Ya know what’s nice about being 30 (or over)? People take you more seriously. They don’t just assume you’re some dopey kid with oatmeal for brains. Well, some will I suppose if you give them a reason. I turn 48 next month, and aside from some aches still feel like I did in my 20s. It’s all about attitude. If you think it sucks, it will. I feel like I’m a 16 year old trapped in a 47 year old body, and all I wanna do is screw off and have fun. IS THAT SO WRONG???
Short version: get fucking over it :)

I’d be OK with that but I think my wife might take issue. Also, we have a very small property and I would love to have a modest acreage with some room to move around on. The trick is gonna be finding something close enough to work that the commute doesn’t kill me.

Yeah 30 was a hard pill to swallow. Just turned 31 last week and it doesn’t bother me anymore but 30 was a tuff one.
once 30 hit I was like ok time to make some changes.
Got braces. worst best thing I’ve ever done. By this time next year I’ll have a million dollar smile.
Finally managed to impregnate the wife.(took 4 years but we had our first son on Feb 9th 2016)
Moved into our house we got built(3 car garage yo!)
31 is kicking off to be a great year so keep your chin up. You thought your 20's were great, your 30's will be even better since now is the time you start making real money and you can start buying the toys you’ve been dreaming of for the last 15 years.

It was kind of a non-event, fortunately. I was dreading it basically the entire year and then it happened, and now I’m 30, and everything is still the same.

Hah sounds like when I got married (already living together, just bought a house, etc. - was scared but nothing really changed).
That makes me feel better. Still won’t be able to make any 30 under 30 lists though...
